BURST Completes D-backs HD-SDI Video Coaching System
05/18/10 |
May 18, 2010 - Denver CO - Just in time for the 2010 season, the Arizona Diamondbacks are sporting a new, state-of-the-art, HD-SDI video coaching system at Chase Field in Phoenix. This internal coaching system gives coaches a strategic, multi-angle look at batters and pitchers in action, and provides information that allows them to work with players on a more personalized basis.
The D-backs previously relied on an analog fixed-camera, closed circuit television system. The upgrade is an HD-SDI set-up featuring four strategically-placed Sony BRC-Z700 robotic cameras that pan, tilt and zoom, a Sony RM-BR300 controller, an 8x8 Harris Panacea HD-SDI router, and a complete CSI fiber optic transmission system to both transmit the HD signals from the cameras to the video coaching control room as well as to provide bidirectional communication to each camera to control pan, tilt, zoom, and other functions.
Burst provided the engineering and drawings of the complete system signal flow, and installed, tested and commissioned the control room equipment. Burst also commissioned and had installed custom fabricated housings for three of the four cameras.
