Burst Completes Upgrade at City and County of Denver Facilities
06/30/08 |
June 30, 2008 - Denver, CO – Burst completed a major upgrade to the Denver 8 TV facilities in Denver’s City and County Building. Denver 8 TV, which features award-winning productions including coverage of Denver City Council meetings, Mayor news conferences, community forums, and public policy and issue-oriented productions, is Denver’s official government access cable channel and provides television production services to City and County of Denver agencies and elected officials.
During the six month project, Burst upgraded the current production infrastructure, including constructing two “mirrored” control rooms designed to significantly enhance the station’s production capabilities at its downtown Civic Center location. Burst provided all equipment, installed and commissioned the system and trained city employees to use the facilities.
The new digital facility adds flexibility and functionality to the entire system. The installation supports 11 remotely controlled robotic cameras and maintains manually operated camera capabilities. In addition, it extends a fiber infrastructure to accommodate more productions in more places, including a second nearby municipal office building.
