Tom Norman Joins Burst as Senior Project Manager

Burst announced today that Tom Norman, CPBE, has joined the company as a Senior Project Manager. Norman, an experienced designer and project manager, will work closely with Burst’s sales team and designers, and manage project installation and implementation. "Tom brings a lot to our design and engineering team,” said Scott Barella, vice president of engineering at Burst. “His broadcast experience speaks volumes."
“Tom is highly respected among his peers, and adds a new level of engineering talent to our staff,” added Kirk Basefsky, Burst president. “We feel very fortunate to have him here.”
Norman has nearly 30 years experience in broadcasting and related fields. He has built facilities ranging from simple circuits to entire television studios and television transmitter plants. Prior to joining Burst Communications, he was a systems engineer for Harris Corporation for seven years. Prior to Harris, Norman served as a chief engineer at KTWO-TV, the University of Wyoming, and at KVZK-TV. From 1970 to 1991, Norman was president of his own company, Sontec Corporation, which was engaged in the custom design and manufacture of devices for broadcast and data networking spaces.
Norman is a member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers and of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers.
